The Oltrarno, or Diladdarno, is the area of Florence located beyond the Arno river, opposite from the portion of the city where there are the most famous monuments, such as the Duomo or Piazza della Signoria.
It is said that true Florentines still live here, among narrow streets, antiques and craft shops, squares and markets. Do not miss the nightlife in Piazza Santo Spirito!
